On April 26, Vancouver ShengMi organized a beach cleanup and community gathering at Jericho Beach. The event was registered on the Ocean Wise platform under the name of Zhou Shen fans.

Together with family, friends, and young ShengMi members, we cleaned approximately one kilometre of shoreline and collected more than 6 kg of litter.

The early-spring seaside in Vancouver was still a little windy and chilly, but everyone's enthusiasm became a beautiful part of the scenery. The young ShengMi members were especially energetic, working tirelessly with their pickers and bags, searching carefully along the beach and doing their part to protect the place we live in.

A Gentle Surprise

We also had two lovely surprise encounters. Some passersby noticed our banner, came over to share their love for Zhou Shen, and even asked whether there was a concert happening nearby.

It reminded us that people connected by the same voice may find each other again, even on a quiet beach in another corner of the world.

After the Cleanup

Sunshine, Music, and Laughter

After the cleanup, we gathered on the grass to enjoy the sunshine, share a picnic, chat, and listen to Zhou Shen's songs. The sea breeze, warm sunlight, music, and laughter came together to create a gentle and memorable afternoon.

That day, we were not only cleaning the beach. We were also saying, through our actions, that loving someone can inspire us to become better people, and loving a song can lead us toward a richer and more meaningful life.

Love Zhou Shen, love the Earth, love life. This was Vancouver ShengMi's small but heartfelt echo for Earth Day 2025.

Ocean Wise Record

A Small Number With Real Weight

The cleanup was recorded on the Ocean Wise shoreline cleanup platform, including the meeting point, duration, distance cleaned, and waste collected.

Seeing the number written down made the afternoon feel even more concrete: one kilometre of beach, 6.85 kg of litter, and one small act of care completed together.
